With the help of a local architect we have recently sympathetically refurbished the house, keeping original features but creating a large, airy open plan kitchen / breakfast room which leads to a spacious and comfortable living room.
Everything is new and good quality - German appliances in the kitchen, comfy English beds, boutique bathrooms, white cotton bedding and fluffy towels.
The three bedrooms, which all have air-conditioning, comprise:
Room 1 - a large double room which can be arranged as a twin or one super-king 180cm bed. This room can take a cot if needed (supplied).
Room 2 - a double (super-king 180cm) or twin room, with access to a romantic first floor terrace.
Room 3 - a double room (king 150cm bed) with ensuite shower room (Italian shower).
Rooms 1 and 2 share a bathroom, with Italian shower, bathtub, twin basins and wc. There is an additional separate wc upstairs, and a further one downstairs
Downstairs we have a fully fitted kitchen, including twin ovens with integrated microwave, dishwasher, two sinks, Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge. A further large, American style fridge-freezer with ice-making is located just off the kitchen in the utility room, which also houses washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board.
The dining area has a large table which comfortably seats eight and a working fireplace for cosy winter evenings. From here, double arches lead into the spacious sitting room with traditional fireplace, TV, DVD player, board games and a selection of books to supplement your holiday reading. This also leads through to the ‘garden’ room which houses the table tennis table – in welcome shade on a hot day.

The house is very much geared towards outdoor living, and all of the downstairs rooms have doors to the sweeping terrace from where you can enjoy the view of the Luberon hills in the distance. Relax with a book on one of the comfy sofas, or enjoy a long lunch with friends and family.
The kitchen also has a door onto a side terrace, where the dining table and gas barbecue are located, making eating outside very easy and convenient. We are in a HIGH FIRE RISK zone so no other open fires are permitted, and the barbecue must not be moved.
There are sun-loungers by the pool, along with a shady, open cabane, the perfect place from which to keep an eye on young children.
The pool itself is a good size (11m x 4m) with gentle steps down to the shallow end. It has an electric cover and is heated by an air source heat pump.
The pool is used at your own risk, children must be supervised and the cover must be closed when not in use.
It is generally open from mid April to early October.
We also have an area for boules / badminton, a hammock, and bicycles (currently three) for use by our guests.
If you prefer not to cook we can put you in touch with a local chef to prepare meals for you – no stress, no shopping, and perfect if you have young children.
The unlimited Wi-Fi reaches throughout the house and terrace.
We have a single garage which can safely store bicycles, golf clubs etc
The house and grounds are both strictly non smoking - we have to comply with local regulation on fire hazard.
